Kick off your shoes and try our barefoot bowling.
We have 14 rinks available to hire.
We'll have your group bowling in no time.
No matter what age or ability, our greens are accessible for all to play lawn bowls.
Requirements for bowling
The only requirements are footwear - you can have bare feet, socks or any flat soled shoe
(no heels, wedges or spikes allowed).
Neat dress (no singlets).
No drinking on greens.
No dumping of bowls.
Barefoot Bowls Functions
Want to create a team building day, reward your staff, entertain your customers, host a Christmas party or hold a social event with a difference.
Barefoot Bowls is the perfect way to do that!
Hire times
2 Hours duration, on the hour bookings, minimum 72 hours notice. We will respond to your enquiry within 24 hours. We do not accept bookings for barefoot bowling between 2pm and 6pm on Fridays and Saturdays 11am and 6pm.
Rink Capacity
Each rink may have up to 10 people playing at one time. In some cases, during busy periods smaller groups can play, but “may” find themselves sharing with another group.
Hire Fees
$10 per person, children under 16 $5 and children under 10 are free but must be supervised by parents.
Barefoot Bowls Hire Fee Includes
2 hours of lawn bowls. All equipment, Bowling demonstration and startup coaching assistance.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to commencement of hire time, also please ensure all of your group is in attendance at that time. On busy days, volunteers will give you a 10-minute reminder before the end of your session so you are able to pack up bowls when your hire ends for the next group.
Full payment is required on prior to commencing bowling, we take one payment from your groups event organiser for green fees (we accept cash or EFTPOS).
Food and Drink
We have a wide range of soft drinks and alcohol available from our fully stocked bar at very reasonable prices.
BBQ facilities are available to hire for $30.
BBQ utensils will be provided. No crockery, cutlery, sauce, oil, etc will be provided. We don't offer in-house catering, but you can order from outside food delivery services. We provide an outdoor undercover area for you to utilise with tables and chairs.
Strictly no drinking, eating or smoking on the green. Phillip Island bowling club is a smoke free venue.
Please be aware that as a licensed venue, no alcohol can be brought onto the premises.
